Rail transit equipment is mainly used for maintenance and repair of subway equipment, and the workpiece that needs to be cleaned is the wheel-to-shaft on the subway for a long time. In the process of cleaning the wheel-to-shaft, the wheel-to-shaft should be cleaned without oxidation streaks, and then flaw detection treatment. Although there are many studies on laser cleaning technology at home and abroad, there are still relatively few studies on rail transit wheel-to-shaft maintenance, especially how to combine the requirements of wheel-to-shaft paint removal. In order to ensure the cleaning efficiency requirements, a laser cleaning technology is proposed. By integrating different laser combinations through robots, the parameters of each laser process are reasonably determined to ensure the efficiency and surface quality of paint removal.

The existing cleaning system is used to clean by means of spiral offset. The cleaning method is a reciprocating procedure. After cleaning, the surface coating is cleaned to reveal a metallic color, and there is no oxidation color or laser trace on the surface. The effect is satisfactory to customers.

Application of Laser Cleaning in Lightweight Locomotive Body Manufacturing

As a lightweight metal, aluminum alloys are widely used in welded components such as car bodies and fuselages due to their high specific strength, corrosion resistance, ease of processing, and excellent mechanical properties. However, aluminum alloys are easy to oxidize in the air and absorb moisture. The mechanical cleaning method is inefficient and the oxide film is not completely removed. Chemical cleaning is more serious to the environment and cannot be cleaned for large-sized parts. In recent decades, the development of efficient, non-destructive, and green laser cleaning technology can solve this problem.

With the continuous improvement of the R & D and production technology of fiber lasers and cleaning equipment for laser cleaning, and the increasing progress of laser cleaning application technology, laser cleaning is gradually being widely used in mold manufacturing, automobile high-speed rail manufacturing and maintenance, aviation and shipping. Due to its advantages of high efficiency, green environmental protection, and good economic benefits, more and more enterprises have begun to pay attention to laser cleaning, and continue to develop new applications and new equipment related to it, which has made the laser cleaning industry burst into a vigorous development force.
